Weight Training Here I come


So I played basketball today and wasn’t pleased with how I played. I was barley given the ball because my team doesn’t think I’m the first scoring option. I’m not surprised they don’t, I just have to make sure they realize that I am!
I played good in the first game but slowly my game and awareness fell. The last game, I could have blocked the gaming winning layup made by the other team but I was unfocused. But then again, that wasn’t really my fault, my teammate didn’t get his man and I was too busy with a guy taller than me by 2 or 3 inches.
I realized that I have to get stronger and increase my vertical leap. I plan to hit the gym tomorrow and hopefully at least 3 times a week. The gym will help me build muscles, get stronger, lose weight, and also boost my confidence.
Tomorrow I plan to go inside that gym and stretch. After stretching, I will get some dumbbells and work my biceps, followed by my triceps. After that, I will do crunches to strengthen my core and my abs. Finally bench press and lateral pull downs, in order to strengthen my overall upper body strength.
I might add some workouts to help make my legs stronger, thus increase my vertical. These might be simple jump squats, to leg presses and other workouts.
I can’t wait!
